We’ve been building up to this gig for a while now, and it’s over It went so well though, so definitely worth it! We were first on the San Miguel (main) stage. Amazing seeing the sea and a boat passing by from the stage, so very pretty indeed! It wasn’t too hot either, so perfect. As we were on so early it wasn’t packed, but certainly a good crowd and many familiar faces (James Jam NME, Kevin the biggest Bis fan in the world etc).

It was good being on early in the festival so I could stop being nervous and enjoy the rest of the fest! The backstage area was just for the Fall, Superchunk, Pavement and us so very relaxing. Stuart’s a giant Pavement fan so was in his element to meet them. The boys liked the San Miguel unlimited tap they could help themselves to, and I got into the Spanish mood with my Rioja wine!

We’re all a bit worse for wear today, but apart from one more interview it’s a day of no commitments. Sitting in the lobby of the hotel is fun as all bands are staying here and it’s really busy. Everyone just looks around with the ‘what band are you’ face. Awoke to hear the Pixies sound-checking today! It’s been so nice to do this kind of thing again, as we haven’t gone abroad with Bis for many years. As it was so fun and everyone seemed to enjoy it, it’s certainly something that I hope we get similar offers to do again.
